Who we are

Glanzo ("the app") is published by Encoders Software PVT LTD, India ("we", "us"). For the purposes of Indian data protection law we are the data fiduciary (data controller). Contact: support@encoderssoftware.com.

The short version

Glanzo is a gallery and casting app. All photo, video, face and location processing happens on your device. There are no accounts, no ads and we do not sell your data.

What stays on your device

Your photos, videos, albums and their metadata (including date and location tags) are read and processed only on your phone. We do not upload your media to our servers and we do not operate servers that store it.

Accounts, ads and tracking

Glanzo needs no account or sign-in. It shows no ads and contains no advertising or analytics tracking SDKs. Crash reporting: none is currently included. If we add it in future, we will update this policy first and describe exactly what it collects.

Casting

When you cast, media goes directly from your phone to your TV or casting device over your local network, or through the TV's own casting service (for example Google Cast). Glanzo does not keep a copy. The casting service of your TV maker or Google may process connection data under its own policy.

Permissions

The app asks for access to your photos and videos so it can show them, and for local network access so it can find TVs. You can withdraw any permission at any time in your phone settings.

Optional features (off by default)

People face grouping: if you turn it on, faces are detected and grouped on your device. This data is biometric-like and sensitive; it never leaves your device and you can delete it with one tap.

Exact place names (asks Google): if you turn it on, the coordinates of a photo are sent to Google's Geocoder to get a place name, only while the feature is enabled. Google handles that request under its own privacy policy.

AI search (if offered in future): only the text you type is sent, never your photos.

Purchases (Glanzo Pro)

Glanzo Pro is sold through Google Play Billing. Payments are handled by Google; we do not receive your card or payment details. We receive only confirmation of whether your purchase or subscription is active. The 7-day free trial needs no payment method.

No sale of data

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with anyone for advertising or any other purpose.

Your rights (DPDP Act 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. Because your data stays on your device, you can exercise most of these yourself (clear app data, turn off features, delete face data in the app, uninstall). If unresolved you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Glanzo is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
